Lee has served 22 years on Burnaby council. Lee also served as a director of Metro Vancouver and chaired the Finance Committee of Metro Vancouver. He led negotiations that led to the expansion of Burnaby Mountain Park and the creation of UniverCity. He also led negotiations leading to a successful land exchange between the city and the school board that led to the construction of the new Burnaby South School and the creation of the Nikkei Centre. A practising lawyer, Lee also coaches children’s soccer and softball in Burnaby. Lee and his family make their home in the Deer Lake neighbourhood of Burnaby.
